If Strength is Demanded
With thicker epoxies comes added time for curing. Optimally, trowel grade epoxy is laid at temperatures of 70 degrees Fahrenheit, or more. Below that, the epoxy, with its clear coat, takes longer to cure. Normal curing time is 8 to 12 hours for each coating. The complete curing, when average work can begin again, is after 7 days. Below 55 degrees Fahrenheit, trowel grade coatings are best not tried.
Trowel grade coatings are not for do-it-yourselfers! Skills and experience are required, as well as high end troweling equipment. That is why California Custom Coatings is here for clients in Carmichael to bring the perfect materials and crews to do the job when trowel grade coats are specified.
